With that said, sensors aren't exactly a new thing. This is only possible thanks to recent advances in IoT technologies such as cellular IoT and LPWAN (Low-Power Wide Area Networking) which are radically changing the way sensors are used from occasional measurements to continuous, real-time remote monitoring across multiple industrial and consumer applications. Today more than ever, IoT connectivity is enabling all types of physical sensors to send their data directly to virtual dashboards with close to no human interaction.
